I was looking for a career change after 10 years in hospitality so I could devote more time to my family, and thought that personal styling would be a great option for me. I did Wendy's course in May 2011. Half an hour into the first day I felt my decision to do the course completely justified by Wendy's friendly, approachable nature and the relaxed setting of the first day of theory. The weekend sessions had a diverse group of women so going out and taking turns practicing my new found styling skills on my fellow students was a great way to challenge myself and identify any obstacles so I had all the tools and confidence I needed to go out and conduct paid styling sessions.
